Seeking simple answers to complex problems is part of human nature. Humans want to know how something happens – causation – as well as why it happens – understanding and meaning. But all too often, few are willing or even able to go through this typically difficult process. Much quicker and easier to jump at the first simple answer that appears and then invent meaning for it. This often creates much bigger problems. There is a better way.

The Great Reset seems to be upon us, like it or not. It is enormously ambitious. Jury is still out on whether it will actually be “great” but it will certainly be big, no matter what. Impacts are almost impossible to foresee except in outline. How can you run a business in a world like this?

The “brief” lockdowns, promised in March 2020, seem to have morphed into something more or less permanent – worldwide. One may argue that the basis for any continuation is deeply flawed but with most of the governments and media fully on board with the pandemic story, lockdowns may be with us – indefinitely. Might this actually be an opportunity?
